Join Bill and Kathy on a 42-mile ride between Cordova, Erie and Albany. Long stretches of roads with light traffic. flat stretches at beginning and end of ride, rolling hills in the middle. (May 2024 - roads were in great shape overall.) Regrouping at turns and 2 rest stops with services. Flashing lights for front and rear recommended. Park is located along Rte 84 within Civic Hall Complex. Bring insect and gnat repellant.

A morning ride with a stop for a light breakfast and good fellowship.
Beacon Harbor parking lot
This is a weekly ride every Wednesday from March 13th through November 6th. The ride consists of a route between 40-50 miles, averaging above 20 mph , Riding in a pace line throughout, several sprint and climb segments pre-determined and recognizing the top 3 finishers every week. The group will stop for mechanicals/ tire punctures for a reasonable amount of time to repair. This is a drop ride.

Ben Butterworth path parking lot River Dr and 55th St on the East Moline border.
A combination of trail and lightly traveled roads in IL. The length will be between 25 and 35 miles with shorter rides in the spring and longer rides with more daylight in the summer. The pace will be 14 to 15 MPH and will be faster in the summer than in the spring as we build up fitness. There will usually be at least one good hill to climb. We will regroup at corners and at the top of hills as needed to keep the group together. The starting location will be in the Ben Butterworth parking lot in Moline, River Dr and 55th St on the border with East Moline. If this lot is flooded, we will move 3 blocks south to the old Hardee‘s on the corner of 4th Ave and 55th St.

Lindsay Park Yacht Club Parking Lot
Ride the Davenport & Bettendorf trails for a loop ride. County roads may also be part of the 25-28-mile route. 13-14mph pace. Optional lunch stop towards end of ride. NOTE: As of 07-24-24 5:30pm, the Mississippi River is at 14.4 ft, still in flood stage. Forecast for 07-26-24 at 7am is 13.6 ft. Plans are to return to Lindsay Park Yacht Club as a start location.

Group ride starting at Happy Joe‘s parking lot in Coal Valley at 9am. 54-mile route with 2250‘ of climbing.
Riding a safe route on the bike path and on neighborhood streets.
Ride the Duck Creek Trail and roads in a 20 mile out and back route. Some hills on the trail. Route includes a rest stop at the turnaround. Frequent regrouping. Front and rear lights recommended.
