Sept 2 Labor Day there is a pancake breakfast at McCausland firehouse. Jason Deutmeyer will lead a ride meeting at 8 AM Arconic bike path parking to McCausland and back, I believe it is 43 miles long, plan to have group eat at breakfast as break , back by 12:30

A morning ride with a stop for a light breakfast and good fellowship.
Beacon Harbor parking lot
This is a weekly ride every Wednesday from March 13th through November 6th. The ride consists of a route between 40-50 miles, averaging above 20 mph , Riding in a pace line throughout, several sprint and climb segments pre-determined and recognizing the top 3 finishers every week. The group will stop for mechanicals/ tire punctures for a reasonable amount of time to repair. This is a drop ride.
Ben Butterworth path parking lot River Dr and 55th St on the East Moline border.
A combination of trail and lightly traveled roads in IL. The length will be between 25 and 35 miles with shorter rides in the spring and longer rides with more daylight in the summer. The pace will be 14 to 15 MPH and will be faster in the summer than in the spring as we build up fitness. There will usually be at least one good hill to climb. We will regroup at corners and at the top of hills as needed to keep the group together. The starting location will be in the Ben Butterworth parking lot in Moline, River Dr and 55th St on the border with East Moline. If this lot is flooded, we will move 3 blocks south to the old Hardee‘s on the corner of 4th Ave and 55th St.

This will be a D-Ride starting at 8am on September 7. Leaving Ben Butterworth path parking lot River Dr and 55th St on the East Moline border and riding to Geneseo, stopping for breakfast in Geneseo after 33 miles. We will be riding on roads and some trails. IT WILL BE A 57 MILE ROUNDTRIP. Mostly a flat ride.

Loud Thunder Forest Preserve
904- It was the last year there were no paved roads in Illinois. All the roads were narrow, curvy and made of dirt, rock, or bricks. The 1904 course very much resembles this pre-paved era. Come venture back in time with us. This will be the third stop of the Big River Gravel Series, and undoubtedly, the toughest event of the series.

Are you interested in riding a Century or just a loop ride? The Heartland Tour & Century provides you with an excellent opportunity with relatively flat routes. Using the clover leaf routes you can choose a route that is advantageous if it is a windy day.
