Market in Motion Casual Rides are part of the Wednesday Farmer‘s Market being held from May through October. In addition to biking other activities include yoga, walking, running and children‘s activities are scheduled.

A member from the Quad Cities Bicycle Club or the River Benders Bike Club each week leads a Casual Group Ride for adults and children. Normally rides are less than 10 miles and at a pace less than 10 MPH. Registration at the Freight House is at 5:15 p.m. with the ride leaving at 5:30 p.m.

Participants must have a bike in good working order and a helmet to participate. There is not cost for this program.

If you don‘t have the time or the energy to ride the entire TOMRV Route this weekend, come on this ride to get a "Flavor" of the atmosphere of riding with 100‘s of other Riders. We‘ll ride the first 15-18 miles of the route and have a Pancake Breakfast at the Princeton, IA fire station and then return to Bettendorf. Mileage will be around 35-40 miles and the pace will be 10-13mph. There will be some hills on the return route to avoid Hwy 67.

QCBC sponsored Time Trial- 25 Kilometers, on one of the flattest and straightest roads available. This is an out and back route going from Preemption to Hamlet and back. Low traffic and good road conditions. Registration begins at 5:45 to 6:15pm. First rider off at 6:30. One minute intervals for the riders. Come out and do your first time trial or one of many. Free to QCBC members, $5.00 for all others. Parking and rest rooms are available at the local Methodist church on 170th Ave.

Start at the MRT Trailhead and ride the Duck Creek Trail up n back. Once back in the parking lot, we’ll provide option rides out/back to Pigeon Creek Park and the Bettendorf Riverfront.
The Quad Cities Riverfronts are still inundated with pumps, hoses, fences, barriers and hazards so we will avoid those areas and ride the Duck Creek Trail and beyond. We were rained out last month when we attempted this ride so hopefully it will be sunny and warm during this attempt.

Ice Cream stop at end of ride (Here‘s the Scoop) in the Village of East Davenport. Starts from Orion Illinois, Route is 24 miles over some rolling hills. Route goes through Lynn Center, Andover and Cambridge before returning to Orion. This is the only road race to be put on by the QCBC in 2019. Come out and see if you‘ve got what it takes. Registration 5:15-6:00 Race starts at 6:15 Free to QCBC members, $5 for non‘members.
