What is this?
Kevin Smith will be leading the QCBC A-B group ride this Saturday from Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf starting at 9am. This ride will take place before the annual QCBC Summer Picnic which starts at 12:30pm directly following the ride. The provided lunch menu includes grilled hamburgers & chicken breasts, potato salad, fresh fruit, variety of chips and cookies. Pop and cold filtered water will also be available. The route for the group ride will be 58 miles and travel east towards Le Claire and then ride west eventually through Donahue before returning to Crow Creek Park. The weather forecast for the ride is warm with temps in the upper 70's and 80's throughout the ride with a SE wind around 9-12 mph. The route supports water stop opportunities at several points along the way at McCausland, Donahue, or Eldridge. Please go to the QCBC website to pre-register for the picnic if you have not yet done this so they can get a more accurate estimate for the lunch.

Group “B”
17-20 mph.
Riders in this group should be familiar with drafting and be able to actively participate in the pace line. These rides are normally “drop rides” with speeds of 20+ mph at times. This group tends to be a more intense ride over a shorter period than C group. Riders in this group normally ride daily.
