CHARTER START & ENDING

Our Charter Service always starts and ends at the Isle Casino Hotel in Bettendorf.

The QCBC RAGBRAI Charter includes FREE weeklong vehicle storage in our covered parking lot. A parking pass will be issued for you to display on the dash of your vehicle after you sign our parking waiver. This safe & secure parking area is patrolled by the Isle Security Staff and the Bettendorf Police Department, located next door.

Our Charter Service includes an optional BUS BACK to your vehicle on Saturday, July 27th but you must select this option during your registration. Unless you have made other arrangements for someone to pick you up in the ending town, you may want to use this service to return to your vehicle.

The return bus back from Keokuk is approximately two and half (2 1/2) hours in normal traffic, so we can expect additional time during the RAGBRAI departure.

We do not have a Bus Back schedule. The charter buses will depart Keokuk as they fill, on a first come-first serve basis. Once each seat on the first bus is filled, it will depart for the Quad Cities with your bicycles in our trucks following closely behind. Bus # 2 will follow the same protocol and the final bus will leave no later than the 4:00 DEADLINE. We can only return the merchandise of our paid clients who are included the Bus Back charter or those with the prepaid Bicycle/Tandem Only options.

As always, the buses will return to our covered parking area at the Isle Casino Hotel in Bettendorf. All bags and bicycles brought back to the Isle must be claimed by 6:30 PM.

RAGBRAI 2019 Route

THE ROUTE

Council Bluffs–Atlantic–Winterset–Indianola–Centerville–Fairfield–Burlington–Keokuk

The 2019 Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa, which will take place from July 21 to 27, will start in Council Bluffs and end in Keokuk. In between, riders will stop overnight in Atlantic, Winterset, Indianola, Centerville, Fairfield and Burlington.

Clocking in at 427 miles with 14,735 feet of climb, the 47th edition of this roving cycling party is the eighth easiest in route history. The 2019 ride is also the sixth shortest and eighth flattest.

The full route, including pass-through towns and vehicle directions, is expected to be released in March.

QCBC Preferred Members will receive their RAGBRAI TAGS, their ordered RAGBRAI merchandise and passes at the Packet Pickup on Friday, July 19th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Immediately after receiving your packets, you are required to place your BIKE TAG on your Bicycle.

Lottery TAG applicants will receive their packets in the mail from RAGBRAI or from their Team Leader.

Both Preferred Members and Lottery TAG guests must attach their bike bands on their cycles before they can be loaded into the double decker Allied Van Lines semi-trailer at the Packet Pick-up.

There is a $35 late charge for each bike if you are unable to load your bicycle until Saturday morning.

Our charter busses will depart for RAGBRAI XLVII on Saturday July 20th by 7:00 am.

Our Friday packet pickup and Saturday morning loading site is located in the same West parking area of the Isle Casino Hotel, and between the I-74 Bridge (1600 Isle Parkway, Bettendorf, Iowa 52722). Week long parking will be located in the adjacent covered parking garage lot at no charge to our charter guests. Motorists are required to sign a liability waiver during packet pickup/bike loading and place our Parking Pass on your vehicle’s dashboard if you are leaving it in the QCBC long term parking lot.

If you are not riding the bus out, you may still pick up your packets at this site or from the QCBC trucks in the starting RAGBRAI town, but you are encouraged to get them July 19h.  Sorry but we receive all items from RAGBRAI in bulk and the packets are not assembled in time for us to mail them out ahead of time.

Phone 1-800-the-isle (1-800-843-4753) The QCBC group rate is $119.99 for the night before RAGBRAI departure - July 19th.

We have been quoted the rate of $99.99 a night for Wed/Thurs, July 17/18th.

State and local sales tax is in addition to quoted room rates.

Mention the group code - QCBC019 when reserving your rooms. The limited number of rooms for our group rate will only be available until July 01st. The Isle also provides complementary airport transportation. If you need a room on the return weekend, you should make reservations ASAP as this will be a very busy weekend in the Q C.

QC Airport

QC Airport

The Quad Cities Bicycle Club provides transportation to and from the only major airport along the Mississippi River, via our QCBC Charter home base in Bettendorf. As long as you are a guest using our charter service, there will not be any extra fee for this service. However reservations must be made well in advance so we have enough volunteers on hand to transport you and your gear the six miles from our Bettendorf home base across the river into southern Moline.

With the charter's packet pickup on Friday afternoon and our deluxe motor coaches pulling out for the starting town by 0700 hrs on the 20th, we recommend you make air travel reservations to arrive in the QC no later than the morning of Friday July 19th.

Your flight home should be arraigned to depart on Sunday the 28th as well. Saturday is normally a 60+ mile day with plenty of climbing, making it difficult for you to be at the airport in time for a Saturday afternoon flight if you use our charter. We do not have a bus back schedule because in order to keep our rates low, our charter busses do not leave the final RAGBRAI river town until every seat on each bus is filled with our guests.

Flights back home from MLI should be scheduled for Sunday, July 28th.
