We are thrilled to announce that registration is now open for the Tour of the Mississippi River Valley (TOMRV), a beloved and iconic ride sponsored by the Quad Cities Bicycle Club (QCBC). After a two-year hiatus, TOMRV returns this year, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome you back!

Event Details:

• Dates: June 7-8, 2025
• Start Locations: The Isle Casino Hotel in Bettendorf, IA, and Northeast High School in Goose Lake, IA
• Overnight Stop: Dubuque, IA

TOMRV (pronounced TOM-Rahv) is a two-day cycling adventure that takes riders up and down both sides of the majestic Mississippi River. This year, we are proud to continue the tradition that began in 1978, offering a challenging and scenic route that has attracted cyclists from across the Midwest.

A Brief History: The Tour of the Mississippi River Valley started as a two-day ride between Davenport, IA, and Burlington, IA. In 1979, the route shifted upriver to Dubuque, IA, and the event moved to June, the weekend before Father’s Day. At its peak, TOMRV saw over 1,000 cyclists participating annually. However, the ride was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID pandemic, and a scaled-back version was held in 2021. TOMRV 45 in 2022 followed a more traditional format, but the event was not held in 2023 due to leadership vacancies.

Exciting News for 2025: We are delighted to have Laura Pfab, a seasoned business analyst and event coordinator, as our new TOMRV Ride Director. Laura's expertise and passion for cycling have been instrumental in bringing TOMRV back. Additionally, Steve Miller, an avid cyclist and TOMRV veteran, has volunteered to serve as an assistant.
