Joe Buikema is leading a QCBC A/B group ride this coming Saturday from his house in Clinton, IA starting at 8am. There is no TOMRV this weekend as in past years but Joe has a similar one-day edition cooked up for the group starting from his house and then a 92-mile route with 4900’ of climbing in NW Illinois and NE Iowa. A stop is planned in Elizabeth, IL around the half way point and then 25 miles later in Mt Carroll after most of the climbing is done and has a good combination of fast flats, longer climbs, and incredible scenery on relatively quiet roads. This is the same route we rode last year. The weather forecast for Saturday is temps in the 60's and 7mph NW wind with cloudy skies. Arrive early for morning coffee and treats before the ride.
