This week's ride will be an organized ride at the Tour of Hog Heaven in Kewanee, IL on Sunday 5Sep21 starting at 8:30am. This is a nice ride through the quiet country roads west of Kewanee, IL and has several different distances to offer. Many of us have done the half century or metric century rides which share a common route for the first 25miles or so. Included in the registration is a T-shirt, several sag stops, a map, and the ability to use the YMCA locker room to shower after the ride. Below is a link and a snapshot of the registration form. On-site registration is also possible and is what many have done in the past at the YMCA start point. This is a home town ride for John Grice who will lead the metric century ride. http://kewaneehogdays.com/pdfs/TOHH-flyer-2021.pdf
Riders in this group should be familiar with drafting and be able to actively participate in the pace line. These rides are normally “drop rides” with speeds of 20+ mph at times. This group tends to be a more intense ride over a shorter period than C group. Riders in this group normally ride daily.
