To show support for the continuation of building trails the Rails to Trails Conservancy, Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation, Ride Illinois organization as well as the Quad Cities Visitors Bureau is hosting a trail Celebration meeting at LeClarie Park and Bass Street Landing. These locations were selected as the Quad Cities is the meeting point of the Mississippi River Trail and the Great American Trail. As part of the event a celebratory bike ride is being hosted by the QCBC from LeClaire Park to Bass Street Landing as we celebrate the benefits of our existing trail network and spotlight opportunities to close critical trail gaps through state programs like the Outdoor Recreational Trust Fund in Iowa and federal programs that fund trails and active transportation. Club riders will be joined by congressional staffers as well as city, county, state and national leaders on this short but important ride. Quad Cities members are encouraged to wear our QCBC, TOMRV or RAGBRAI “Colors”. Group will ride between LeClaire Park to Bass Street Landing. Ride Leaders: Bill and Kathy Storm.
